Adopt-A-Road Program

Deep Woods Extreme, Inc. is entering the 3rd year with the NH Adopt-A-Road program.  We adopted a 2.2 mile stretch of Rt. 111 in Hampstead, NH.  The program requires us to perform 4-6 clean-ups a year from April-October.  We have collected an average of approximately 100-200 bags a year of trash and other miscellaneous waste.  You'd be surprised at what some people throw out their window! While it is not the most glamourous job in the world, it definitely puts a smile on your face when you look back at all the bags and see the work you have just accomplished.  It also makes you think twice about littering...even down to something as small as a cigarette butt.

In October, Deep Woods Extreme, Inc. completed their last clean-up of the year.  Throughout the year we probably collected around 100 bags of trash and miscellaneous debris.  This number may seem pretty high but the first year we started the Adopt-A-Road program we probably collected over 200 bags! Either citizens are littering less or we are just getting better with the program.

The BOD would like to thank all of our members for helping out this year with the clean-ups! The number of volunteers was much better this year and the clean-ups ended alot faster! Also, thank you to the residents of Hampstead, NH who see us out their and show their appreciation!

Please try to make a conscious effert to not litter and that goes for throwing cigarette butts out your window too. :)
